In April 2009, David Falk was appointed President New York Tri-State Region of Newmark Knight Frank. Mr. Falk’s business is centered on both tenant and landlord representation in the acquisition and disposition of office space. Within the last two years, he has been involved in the leasing of more than 2.5 million square feet of space.
On the tenant side, Mr. Falk has represented Havas (420,000 square feet at 200 Hudson Square and 200 Madison Avenue), Kate Spade (in three Manhattan locations totaling 290,000 square feet), Pace University (built-to-suit dormitories and offices at 180 Broadway, 33 Beekman and 126 Nassau as well as education and office needs in Manhattan totaling 850,000 square feet), Havas (400,000 square feet at 200 Hudson and 200 Madison Avenue), Angelo Gordon (140,000 square feet at 245 Park Avenue) and Cerberus (135,000 square feet at 875 Third Avenue).
Mr. Falk and his team are the exclusive leasing agents for more than 23 million square feet of an array of prestigious buildings, including 1 World Trade Center (3 million Square feet), 1251 Avenue of the Americas (2.1 million square feet), One Liberty Plaza (2.3 million square feet), 299 Park Avenue (1.2 million square feet) and 1 Hudson Square (1 million square feet). As leasing agents, he and his team have recently been involved in a number of transformative projects, including Chelsea Market, and noteworthy transactions that have included such progressive companies as Google, Twitter and Samsung.
Mr. Falk was awarded membership to the prestigious 2008 – 2009 Class of David Rockefeller Fellows. He was also the winner of CoStar’s Power Broker Award 16 years in a row, from 2004 to 2019. Additionally, Mr. Falk was the winner of REBNY's 2007 Most Creative Retail Deal of the Year Award for Walgreen's 15-year net lease of One Times Square's retail and office space, comprising the entire 22-story, 117,000-square-foot building.
Mr. Falk graduated from New York University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing.
He resides in Manhattan and Westchester with his wife.
