Mark Silverstein oversees the development and implementation of proprietary lending products for NewPoint Real Estate Capital. Prior to this role, Mr. Silverstein was an Executive Vice President at Arbor Realty Trust facilitating a proprietary fixed-rate lending product as well as capital markets and syndication.
From 2011 until 2020, Mr. Silverstein was a Managing Director at CapitalSource (since merged with Pacific Western Bank) working on capital markets, syndication and origination of commercial real estate loans. Previously, Mr. Silverstein also was a managing director in the CMBS group at Credit Suisse from 1998 until 2011 focused on securitizations, acquisition of an agency lender (Standard Mortgage), large loan originations, syndication, and loan sales. Early in his career, Mr. Silverstein worked at Nomura Securities and Cushman & Wakefield. Mr. Silverstein holds a dual BS/MBA degree from Boston University.
