Real estate industry leader and veteran, Jay Phillip Parker has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Douglas Elliman’s Florida region since 2013. Responsible for the advancement of a leading provider of luxury real estate services across Florida, he has successfully grown Douglas Elliman’s presence in markets from Miami to Ponte Vedra, St. Petersburg to Naples with a total of 22 offices and more than 1,300 agents.
Under Jay’s leadership, Douglas Elliman Florida marked a banner year in 2021 with nearly $15 Billion in total sales volume, which was up almost 100% over the prior year. Jay has been a key figure in the growth of the brand, which is now represented in luxury real estate markets in 61 countries and six continents through its partnership with London based Knight-Frank Residential.
A graduate of the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada, Jay completed the study abroad program in Tel Aviv, Israel while earning his bachelor’s degree. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law in May of 1998. A member of the Florida Bar Association, Jay served on the Board of Governors for the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, is currently on the Foundation Executive Board of Mt. Sinai Medical Center and a Director of the Corporate Board of the Miami Association of Realtors.

A Tax Partner and Co-Leader of the Real Estate Practice Group at Berdon LLP, Meyer Mintz has been with the firm for over 25 years. He has particular expertise in advising real estate companies across the country on the tax aspects of real estate, including partnership agreements, limited liability companies, and other business organizations. Having both a law degree and LL.M. in tax gives him a unique understanding when analyzing potential transactions from both a tax and an overall business perspective. He has also worked on transactions in every type of asset class, which enables him to provide clients with a more comprehensive picture on which to base their decisions. Meyer also advises attorneys in litigation matters, including serving as an expert witness.
